Arguments with Hayzen

Most of you know that Hayzen can now talk your ear off if you'll listen to him.  Lately he's been on a kick to be right all of the time.  The other day we were sitting in the rocking chair looking at our family pictures on the wall.  He likes to look at the ones with the whole family because he points out everyone.  He pointed out "Mama". He pointed out "Papa".  He pointed out "Hayzen".  Then once he got to the dog he said "Deer" (that's how he says Steel).  I said, "No. That's Sydney.  Don't you remember Sydney?"  Then he proceeds, "No. Deer."
Me: "No. It's Sydney."
Hayzen: "No. DEER!!!"
Me: "OK.  It's Steel!"

Then a few days later, Hayzen was helping me put things away on the table.  When we came to Matt's scriptures he says, "Daddy........purse."
Me: "That's not Daddy's purse.  Those are his scriptures.  Can you say scriptures?"
Hayzen:  "Daddy.........purse."
Me: "No. Those are Daddy's scriptures."
Hayzen:  "NO!  Daddy PURSE!"

Needless to say I've quite arguing with him!

Another thing that he was in the habit of for a few weeks was saying "yes sir" whenever you'd ask him a question.  Any yes answer he wouldn't just say "yes" but "yes sir".  We have no idea where he picked it up but we weren't complaining.  We invited the missionaries for dinner one night and they thought it was the funniest thing in the world.  They kept asking him questions just to hear him say "yes sir."  He's back to saying just "ya" again but while it lasted it was sure funny.
