Another New Beginning

OK. I have people harassing me to update my blog. I apologize greatly for my lack of dedication. Our lives have been more than hectic lately. I have good excuses but I'm sure you don't want to hear them.
Some of you know that our little family has moved to Texas. Here's how this all came about......we prayed and felt like the Lord was leading us somewhere besides Holden. Camille had been talking to me about how much she loved the new town she lived in, Clovis NM. We considered moving back to Minersville but we felt like NM was where He was leading us. We became very excited and thought about how much more opportunity for a lot of things there would be. One packing, 14 hours, and 3 tanks of gas later here we were in NM.
The Waseks were so generous to let us stay with them for a few weeks. It was so much fun to get to live with my best friend! Matt and I both got jobs quickly. I work at a western wear store doing inventory, pricing items, putting them in the computer, and also selling. It makes for long days but it pays good. Matt works just down the road from me at a place called ASCO. They rent and sell heavy machinery and Matt services the items and just got promoted to the office part of it.
After getting to know the people in our ward we knew that we loved it here. It's so nice to go to a place where everyone is so inviting, everyone introduces themselves, tries to help in anyway they can and they are immediate friends. We've gotten to know many people who are so genuine and kind. Matt asked around to see if there was anyone he could ride with or a place he could ride at. Some people said there was a woman in the ward who had a husband who rode horses. After getting to know her we knew the Lord had sent us here for a reason.
She got talking to Matt and told him that she had prayed for him to come here because her husband is not a member and she's been fasting and praying for some way that her husband will be baptized. Matt just so happens to work for this woman's brother-in-law who is also inactive and we rent a home from this woman and her husband. We have had dinner with their families the last two Sunday's and Matt's boss's daughter watches Hayzen on Fridays. We already feel so comfortable with them and are already such close friends. So one pack, 15 minutes, and 2 pizzas later here we are in Texas. It's only 18 miles from work and Camille's house and just 4 miles past the Texas border. So we live in Texas and work in New Mexico.
There are also many other reasons that we know the Lord sent us here. Matt got called as a ward missionary and is doing very well with it. He loves it and gets so excited about working with the missionaries, finding investigators and working with the in-actives. I've also been doing a little bit of missionary work myself. I've given one Book of Mormon away to a guy at work, invited another girl from work to church and one boy from work to church. The guy that I gave the Book of Mormon to is a 60 year old spanish gentleman who had family in Utah but knows pretty much nothing about the church. He has been asking me lots of questions and the missionaries are trying to get with him. The girl is 18 and has talked with missionaries before in California but doesn't know a whole lot about the church. She gave me her address to give to the missionaries and wants to meet with them and go to church next week. The boy is also 18 and has family who is mormon. He knows a little bit about it but had been pressured when he was younger to join the church by extended family and lost interest. He is also planning on going to church with us next week. He helped us move into our new house and fits in really well with our family. He was raised on a ranch and ropes calves as well as team roping. He did high school rodeo and has a scholarship for rodeo at Eastern New Mexico Univ. He and Matt had long conversations about all of that when he helped us move. So it's been a learning experience for me to be in the mission field. I thought I wouldn't like it but I love it so far.
Our house is in the middle of corn and peanut fields. Our closest neighbor is about 1/4 of a mile. We love it. We have stalls to keep our horses in (when we get them), an arena to ride in and plenty of yard space. We felt at home the first night we were there and we've never had that in all the houses we've moved into. Hayzen even slept all night which he never does in a new place. We love it here! We miss the mountains but the corn fields will do for now.
The Lord has blessed us in so many ways since we have been here and we couldn't be happier. We are grateful that we have a chance to do missionary work and bring others into the fold. We have grown so much as individuals, as a couple, and as a family. Minersville will always be home but for now, this will do. We are grateful to all of our friends and family who have been supportive of this move and hope that the Lord will bless you in all of your lives as well.

PS. I wanted to post pictures (a lot of them) but we don't have the internet at our house yet. I have to do everything on Camille's comp. So please be patient. I know some of you are dying to see how Hayzen has grown. We'll do our best to hurry.
