A First For Everything

Curse me for not editing these photos but I haven't had much time to do any of that. Given, also, that my computer is not up and running yet. I figured though that I've waited long enough to put some of them on. I need to just do it and move on.

Here are a few first for Hayzen (and one for Quinn)!

This was Hayzen's first black eye. He was in the mudroom bathroom one day and I heard him crying. I didn't know what had happened. I put him down for a nap and when he woke up, this is what we found. We figure he bumped it on an open cupboard. This was right after but it got a lot more purple a few days after.

If you've seen previous pictures of Hayzen, you will realize that this is after his first hair cut (or rather trim.) I had an older gentleman at church tell me he was starting to look like a girl. I couldn't have that! So, I broke down and trimmed his hair. I love his curls too much so I had to leave some on. I know this picture isn't the greatest and his hair is a mess but you get the idea.

This is poor Hayzen in the hospital for his first hospital stay. He was in the hospital for croup. He had to be on oxygen and had an iv in his hand. It was one of the hardest things I've had to do as a mother, watching my baby be poked and prodded and miserable. Neither one of us got very much sleep. This picture is of him falling asleep on his knees in fetal position. It's not a very good pic because it was from my cell phone camera. This was Hayzen's first Easter (well, technically his second, but his first fun one!) He looks really happy, doesn't he?

This is Quinn's first official date! We had a birthday party for him at the ranch and their dates came and took Quinn and Taylor to a dance in Delta afterwards (it was Preference).

I just had to throw this one in. I love it! "Rock on, man!"
