Domestic Housewife........Check

Today I have been slaving away in the kitchen making all sorts of things. I started out the day by making my first batch ever of homemade whole wheat bread. It is made from fresh ground flour that I made. I made 9 loaves. 2 have already been devoured
Then, once that was done, I started on making homemade apple pie filling. I bought a big box of apples and needed a way to use them up. While we were in Reno this weekend, I met a lady who knew how to make apple pie filling so I had her email me the recipe. It is amazingly simple. My sisters-in-law and I are in the process of creating a recipe blog so I can post the recipe on there once it's up and running. I made 17 jars of it today and only used not even half of the box of apples.
Now that that is done, I've started to make meatballs and they smell delicious. So, I've pretty much spent my whole day in the kitchen. My feet and back hurt and I am exhausted. They both were very easy but just time consuming.
I'm so enjoying all of this food storage stuff and have learned so much. I recommend everyone start to get their food storage in line. Especially with the hard times that are surely headed our way. I highly recommend the website www.simplylivingsmart.com. There is a $15 a month fee but I tell you it is more than worth it. With all of the information and resources that they have it is amazing. If anyone has any questions feel free to leave a comment.

Linds, WOW! Way 2 go! I use to make bread but not from flour that I made myself! Impressive! I look forward to your recipe blog! I hope you'll have yummy dinner recipes and then a recipe for the leftovers :) leftovers are my struggle!
